Amateur Sports - Bread and Cheese
TyC Sports is the very first sports cable network in Latin America. In this series of ads, we celebrate the practice of amateur sports and its impact on our society.
The idea behind this project was to take a look at passion regardless of not receiving professional recognition. The main objective was to create a new consciousness about what it means to practice sports deep inside us.
We produced four videos that show different sports and four different characters, and a copy that contrasts the perks that a professional athlete has vs. the ones that an amateur doesn't.
Tennis
Text: "This tournament does not distribute a million dollars in prizes... So what?"
Voiceover: "This is our homage to those who practice sports, just as a sport."
Goal
Text: "For the others, it was the final of the neighborhood championship... For them, the final of the World Cup."
Voiceover: "This is our homage to those who practice sports, just as a sport."
Runner
Text: "She will never be sponsored by any brand... That is what matters the less."
Voiceover: "This is our homage to her, and to those who practice sports, just as a sport."
Bread and Cheese
Bread and Cheese is an old game to choose the players for a kids football game. They start stepping foot by foot until they meet. The one who steps on the other's foot is the first to choose.
Text: "The most valuable passes... continue to be made without money."
Voiceover: "This is our homeage to them. Those who practice sports, just as a sport."
